As a makeup artist and Beauty & Wellness Coach, I've had the honor of helping women uncover their unique beauty and strength at every stage of life. Over the years, I've seen many struggle with the societal pressure to maintain a youthful appearance and the belief that our beauty and value diminishes with age.
As a 49 year old woman, I've grappled with these same notions myself and sometimes, I still do!
What I've learned is, beauty is a spiritual experience, not defined by age or outward appearance but by the richness of our life experiences. Each wrinkle and gray hair is a testament to our journey, resilience, and wisdom. Beauty is an ever-evolving celebration of who we are, not who we used to be.
That's why one of the most powerful things we can do as women is to rewrite our narratives around aging.
What if, instead of fighting signs of aging at every turn, we chose to see them as part of what it means to be alive? What if we could embrace our wrinkles as beautiful reflections of laughter, wisdom and experiences?
Changing our beliefs about beauty and aging requires deliberate action, but it is possible. Together we can flip the script and embrace our best selves at all stages of life!
